The first rose to open this year is not a David Austin. It’s an old Rugosa from Antique Rose Emporium in Texas called Mary Manners. Isn’t she lovely?

Also blooming today? Another Winterthur azalea – Magnifica is her name.

I will close this post with the no name salmon azalea we inherited with the property. It was one that was struggling in a bed of overgrown everything and it got a brutal haircut and recovered.
