I can’t take credit for this video. Our son took the video this morning from his bedroom window. Right outside this window is where we have a suet feeder hung up.

Behold one of our younger pileated woodpeckers! For such a powerful bird, they are very shy like most woodpeckers so this video is huge!

This is why people need to protect and respect open space. Without our woods we don’t have birds like this!

It’s a beautiful day outside and I will note that a lot of things are starting to sprout and I even have some daffodils that I think we’re going to bloom this week unless the weather reverses.
