welcome comte de chambord

There are things I will wax poetic about. The list includes my roses. Especially some old garden roses that I have missed for a very long time.

Comte de Chambord. An old garden rose in the Portland, Damask Perpetual class. It was bred in France before 1858. It is a repeat bloomer and the scent and fragrance are fabulous!

I last had room for this rose in a garden in the 1990s. I had missed it and I am so excited that I bought it from David Austin Roses. It was own root bare root. This is one of the three old roses I planted earlier this spring.

Happy gardening!
